Nadja NeptuneBeing given the opportunity to take part in this event has been  very interesting  from different angles.  I’ve been given the pleasure of  meeting individuals with the same fire burning in their hearts as Mr. Geuka, and others  I have met throughout the past years. Each and every day I find myself becoming more inspired with this major task that Mr. Amefika Geuka has taken -- all in the name of saving our African American children .  To see the determination and motivation that he carries, allows for me to acknowledge if you set your mind on anything to better yourself, it can be accomplished. And to also come to the realization that if we don’t, it will not be because others have stopped us, but rather we allow ourselves to be defeated by our own selves.  One of the key factors I have learned and still learning as I travel to Washington DC is the fact that as long as we are surrounded by people,  things will be said  whether it be good things or bad.

The common equation still remains the same, will we allow what others say  to make or break you.  If we become defeated it’s not because of others, but rather because we defeated ourselves.
