INSTRUCTIONAL PHILOSOPHY Joseph Littles Nguzo Saba Charter School is founded on a clear instructional philosophy with regard to instruction that will raise test scores and address variant student needs and learning style preferences. Teachers are trained by both school leaders and regional partners to use effective strategies that provide extensive opportunities for student learning. It is our objective to ensure all students are actively engaged in the learning process. Our focus is on the building and maintaining family and community. African centered education is based on character, kindness, individual development and community progress. The African experience is the basis of universal comparisons for all core subjects. INSTRUCTION The faculty and staff of Joseph Littles Nguzo Saba Charter School maintain a holistic learning experience in student centered environments. A variety of research based instructional strategies are utilized based on trends revealed through continuous data reviews. We strongly believe that children are born with all the pertinent things in place to become what they were meant to be and that it is our duty to cultivate the genius in their genes.
